Luxury Condos Planned for San Antonio

Even if you can't get a tee time at the exclusive Oak Hills Country Club, $311,000 could get you a permanent view of the third fairway.

A Dallas real estate company is building luxury condominiums near the South Texas Medical Center, an area where high-end condos are in high demand.

Phase one of Birkle Residential Group's development, Pinnacle at Oak Hills, is expected to be complete by year's end. Phase one includes 50 condos, about 15 of which have already been sold, Birkle President Paul Milosevich said.

A second phase of the 5-acre project to break ground next year will include 64 condos.

All of the homes will have two bedrooms and range from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. The floor plans are named after well-known American golf clubs - Augusta, Broadmoor, Colonial, Doral and El Dorado - and start at $140,000.

Buyers can opt to purchase two adjacent condos and have them designed and built as one home with more square footage.

The three- and four-story buildings will have underground parking.

Birkle did a residential project on Medical Drive a few years ago, Milosevich said.

"We were familiar with the area and really liked the growth that was going on over there," he said. "It's convenient to be on that side of town and have this kind of address."

Marketing materials describe the property as "artfully nestled between the green expanse of the club and the prestigious South Texas Medical Center."

"It's an oasis," Milosevich said.

Birkle is gearing its marketing campaign to medical professionals, country club members and empty nesters, he said.

The property will include a pool, a fitness center and a clubhouse with a full kitchen and outdoor fireplace.
